Julia, one of our Co-operative members, is also a professional bag maker.
Under the brand of @thebobbincase, her bags are sold in galleries across the UK and online.
You may have seen her wonderful Harris Tweed bags for sale in Gallery12, the shop next door to the Corner Patch!
Now she is going to share some of her skills with us in a full day workshop.
Julia says ‘make a boiled wool (or similar weight fabric) bag with me.
You will learn how to make a bag with gussets, a flap with a magnetic snap fastener, fully lined and with handmade handles.’
Julia will also give ideas for modifications that you may want to add if you want to make a slightly different bag at home afterwards.
