Delphine Brooks is a textile artist and designer from Warwickshire in the UK. Her journey has taken her from studying fine art to discovering a passion for all things textiles. Delphine says “I love creating designs that incorporate bold colours and patterns, using them to express the ways in which I see the world. I want to make the textile arts accessible to people of all abilities. Creating projects that will inspire others to embrace their own creativity”.
Following the worldwide success of The Farmyard Collection, Delphine has joined us again to design a collection of safari animals. ‘On Safari’ includes an elephant, a giraffe, an impala, a lion, a rhino and a zebra. These panels can be made into a wall hanging, a cushion, stretched over a canvas or even into a quilt.
All the fabric required is printed on each individual panel as well as the main piece to ‘fill’ with the fabric as desired. Comprehensive instructions are also written on each of the panels along with an image showing a suggested finish.
This is the panel to make the applique giraffe. The panel shows the head and neck of the cheeky giraffe, his head slightly tilted to the side.
The fabrics included on the panel are sufficient to finish the applique. You could choose to use your own fabrics and colours, or combine with the fabrics provided, to make the panel unique.
Again, you can follow the suggested fabric placement or use the fabrics in different areas to give a different look.
100% cotton
Panel measures 44 x 36 inches approx.
The finished animal block will be 20 inches square, approx.
