Zips and Piping Workshop

Please note: This workshop has now been replaced by the Basic Dressmaking Techniques workshop. This workshop will include learning how to insert a zip, as well as other techniques useful for dressmaking and general sewing.

An opportunity to learn how to make a professional zipped and piped cushion.

During the day you will learn to insert a variety of different zips, and to make and insert your own piping. Both these skills can also be used in other projects.

All materials for sampling are included in the price.

If you wish to go on to make a zipped and piped cushion cover you will need suitable fabric – details will be provided when you book.

All The Corner Patch workshops, classes and Sit & Sew sessions are held in the newly air-conditioned workroom above the shop.

Janome A100QDC sewing machines are provided for students’ use, along with rotary cutter, rulers and cutting mats.

Please bring your own basic sewing kit if possible. Tea and coffee making facilities are also provided.

Other dates are constantly being added, but please contact us if you want to attend a particular course but you can’t make the available dates.
