We have a packed workshop programme now until Christmas, plus our Sit and Sew sessions

Hello again

I’m not an autumn person; I know some people love this time of year but I much prefer the spring when the mornings start to get lighter and new life begins. The mornings are now starting to be chilly and dark, and I wish I could hibernate through the cold days to come.

But, of course, there are always positives. Cosy evenings with a roaring fire, crisp autumn days walking through the fallen leaves and beautiful sunsets. Not forgetting Bonfire Night and Christmas celebrations, which hopefully will be spent with family this year.

The shop has been a bit busier over the past few weeks (thank goodness) as people’s thoughts turn from holidays and days spent in the garden to planning their makes for the time they will be spending indoors. Along with many small businesses, I have found the past 18 months quite challenging and can only hope for better times ahead.

We certainly have some gorgeous fabrics – new and old – to inspire you; hopefully something for all tastes. All the Christmas fabrics have finally now arrived, plus some collections that have been on order for many months, so the shelves are well stocked.

One of the latest Christmas arrivals was of the Moda Crystal Lane fabric by Bunny Hill Designs. Not a traditional Christmas range, this one is based around the theme of ‘snow’, with a lovely blocks panel plus coordinating fabric all in shades of blue.
